Somewhere between falling and flying… there is a girl.

Iris has a secret. She lost her memory eight years ago and never told a living soul. After an asthma attack one night she finds out that her dreams of a strange house on a snowy island may be a memory resurfacing but the more she learns about the past the more she realizes the life she has been living is a lie. As the façade her father has built starts to crumble around her she will have to decide which means more to her; the truth or her life.

I loved how this story shows a dream Iris has and then that dream becomes a reality. Iris is brought to the place in her dreams and discovers who she really is. She has a voice that speaks to her and tries to remind her of the life she forgot years ago. The interaction between Iris and this inner voice is done really well, and when it's revealed what the inner voice is it really enhances the story.

I loved the character of Falcon. He's so sweet and loves Iris, even though she doesn't remember him. My heart really went out to him, and I hope we see a lot more of him in the next book in the Society of Feathers series. Iris's relationships with everyone in this book are a little strange because there's so much she doesn't remember. She struggles to remember her mother, who died when she was young. She struggles to remember Falcon and countless others. And while all this is happening, Iris is trying to find herself, discover who she really is.

This is a very quick read, and can I just say look at that cover? How gorgeous is that? I'm looking forward to book two.
